SPIKE TK 1404 is the 140 hp tractor of the range, with a 7.13 L six-cylinder YTO engine, 4×4 drive and an F16+R16 shuttle transmission. A 4,500 kg rear lift and 65 L/min hydraulics make it ready for primary tillage, sowing and heavy mounted implements.

Engine
Six-cylinder YTO engine with mechanical injection
The turbocharged YTO LR6M3Z-23 has six cylinders, 7.13 L displacement and 103 kW (140 hp). The Euro 3 mechanical fuel system is simple and practical to run and service. A 240 L fuel tank allows long working periods without refuelling stops.
Transmission
F16+R16 shuttle and hydraulic clutch
The transmission has 16 forward and 16 reverse gears to match the speed to each job. A 14-inch hydraulic twin-plate clutch and oil-immersed hydraulic brakes complete the driveline. 470 mm ground clearance and a 2,615 mm wheelbase suit field work with a 4.7 m minimum turning radius.
Hydraulics
4,500 kg lift, 65 L/min hydraulics
The 65 L/min hydraulic system with four outlets as standard handles a wide range of farm implements. The rear linkage lifts 4,500 kg. The PTO has two speeds, 540/1000 rpm, and a 6-spline shaft.
Cab
Sealed cab with air conditioning and reversing camera
The cab has improved sealing, noise and vibration insulation, a cabin filter and quality plastic trim. The operator seat has suspension and a seat belt, and the passenger has a separate seat. Air conditioning and heating, a reversing camera with monitor and step lighting complete the workplace.
