SPIKE TK 404 without cab is the simple, agile version of the 40 hp compact tractor, with a YTO YND490T engine, four-wheel drive and an 8F+8R shuttle transmission. The open operator station gives easy access to the controls and all-round visibility in gardens, greenhouses, yards and small plots.

YTO YND490T four-cylinder, 40 hp

The four-cylinder YTO YND490T delivers 29.4 kW (40 hp). Intake air passes through a dry cartridge filter, and the 65 L tank allows long work without frequent refuelling.

Transmission

8F+8R shuttle and differential lock

The 8F+8R shuttle transmission gives 8 forward and 8 reverse gears with quick direction changes. A 9-inch dual-action twin-plate clutch and differential lock help keep traction on difficult ground.

Hydraulics

40 L/min pump and Euro-hook linkage

The hydraulic pump delivers 40 L/min from a 12 L tank. There are three outlets; one controls the linkage with float, position hold and forced lowering. The three-point hitch has Euro hooks and an extra rear control lever.

The open operator station gives easy access to the controls and good all-round visibility. 60 kg front and 60 kg rear ballast improve balance and grip; plastic front mudguards protect the tractor. Minimum turning radius is 4.5 m.
